Regarding Bogdan and I, we have plenty of work to do...
All our spots have filled up since last week, including some spots for January.
We are not taking new applications until next year.
Regarding 2025, here’s what to expect from us:
- More YouTube - particularly technical ones (the channel almost tripled subs this year. Bogdan and I are very happy the content is helpful and brings you value)
- AI and its REAL impact on Software Engineers - Bogdan has been working with it for a long time now, and some patterns are emerging. We will make sure to share them.
- Software Mastery (scaling up) - this will be the 5th year we are running this program, with 300+ students who went through it... it is reaching perfection. This year proved that what works in New York will work in Tokyo, as long as you are building software "the fundamentals" stay the same. Admissions are closed until January. Reach out if you want a spot on the waiting list.
- Software Excellence (reopen) - will be opening up again sometime next year... This is for devs already at the Senior level looking to make the jump to Principal/Staff Engineer - Bogdan and I are almost done with the re-building and will open up spots as soon as we fell comfortable getting people in.
If you can, take 30 min to thing about next year.
Open your Macbook and write down the following:
2024 Retrospective:
- 3 things that went well this year
- 3 things that could have went better
- 1 key learning to close 2024
2025 Planning:
- top 3 goals for 2025 (quantify and add number)
- eg. “I increased my salary by 30% by June 2025”
- eg. “I have the Senior title on my resume by March 2025”
- top 3 skills you want to improve
- the key activities you will have to execute on for your goals to become a reality
