Tech influencers's best advice to make it in this “new” world?
Network… Build side-projects… Grind LeetCode.
More of the same old crap (which is expected to still work now, even if it didn’t work back in the days).
If you are asking yourself “Is coding still worth it?”... I don’t blame you.
The future looks dark.
The worst part is for many of you coding is the main way to put bread on the table. Not only for yourself, but for others. Maybe you have a family or maybe you are supporting your aging parents.
Your development job was the way to support them. The way to the middle class.
( if you work for one of the Big Tech companies, the way to the high class).
So if you feel anxious, bitter, or lost…
I feel your pain.
And I got three things to tell ya:
Artificial intelligence is not that intelligent
The job market is not as bad as most developers think
The good times are coming back soon, but only for those who are ready!
Now, if you are still looking for a reason to quit..
Than stop reading right now.
One thing I learned in life is that: “You can’t help people who don’t want to help themselves!”

Oh, the million dollar question.
Well, I’ve been mentoring software engineers for over 5 years now… And I can tell ya there are no easy answers to that question!
Yes folks, it seems like the world is getting crazy. Everything is so fast.
Think about it…
What was React in 2025?
A tiny library some dudes at Facebook put together to add more cat pictures in your feed.
No functional components. No hooks. Nothing.
Today, 9 years later, React is the go-to framework for front-end devs.
What about ChatGPT?
5 years ago it didn't even exist!
Now it’s threatening to replace us… Destiny is ironic.
But wait, GPT itself is having competition from other LLMs like Claude… Or if you are coding from Cursor AI.
Crazy world indeed!
So, should you worry? Should you check other career paths?
Maybe something AI can’t do...
Well unless your passion is laying bricks or wiping asses you don’t have much choice.
AI is not only coming for coders. According to Sam Altman, is coming for lawyers, translators, accountants, journalists… And a whole lot more of people!
Or is it NOT?
Would you trust an AI accountant with your finances? Hehe… Maybe.
It is cheaper than a human for sure.
Oh… But what about your company finances?
Wait, one mistake is at least 10.000 dollars in fines! You see, here the cost of using AI is higher than the cost of not using it!
And why do we call it AI in the first place?
What is really “intelligent” about an LLM behind a chatbox?
Folks, I call it a bluff!
The truth is those big names CEOs have been running out of ideas for years!
They are hiding behind worlds like "innovation" when they are nothing more than monopolies. They are jumping on the AI bandwagon cause' they don’t know any better!
If you ever worked with a human developer before, you know the value they bring to the team is way bigger than what AI can do….
The BIG difference is humans actually solve problems... While all AI is trying to do is to “predict the next token”.
Thinking is still a "human-only" thing.
So I don’t buy their bluff. And you shouldn't either. Stop watching the news if you have to. This whole paranoia is not good for your mental health.
Also, start using AI where you can… But don’t obsess about it!
I heard some poeple say “Ohhh AI won’t steal your job, but a developer using AI will”...
What a bunch of crap!
The developer using AI can easily generate a snowball of code they don’t understand that will become technical debt as soon as they push it to production….
So use AI, yes, but use YOUR BRAIN first!
Boy and girls I have a feeling that 2025 is going to be amazing!
The job market is already recovering.
Companies distracted by AI will be losing market share in favour of companies that actually obsess about the user first (get a job at one of those).
