good job market

I was checking software developer job postings.

Around 7ks jobs in Berlin only.

16ks in London. 19ks in San Francisco.

It feels to me that the market is recovering.

The demand for software developers is getting back to pre-pandemic levels.

One difference I noticed was the seniority level required is higher. A ton of jobs were also asking for full-stack skills.

The good news is salaries were also way higher.

If you are a smart developer wanting to add a few extra thousand to your salary, this might be the best moment to look for a job.

My advice is, #1 make sure your CV, LinkedIn, and work history are well put together.

Companies are still biased towards "years of experience". If you don’t have that many, sell what you have in the best way possible (no side projects on your CV btw).

Secondly, work on your specialist skills (frontend/backend) first, and your generic skills second.

Most companies were looking for developers with full-stack skills.

Finally, don’t waste any time. The developers that will take advantage of this situation are the ones that will take action.

So get off your butt and start implementing!
