Do you know that feeling?

Is like carrying the world on your shoulders.

While collapse seems inevitable.

You sleepwalk through Jira tickets. Freeze in technical interviews. And second-guess yourself in technical meetings.

Every task you get is a lottery.

A lottery between “I hope I know this one”... Or a panic attack realizing you don’t.

So you type your problem into ChatGPT. The AI fixes it. You don't understand how. But, at least the tests are passing.

Commit. Push.

And close the damn ticket.

But somehow, that task is still there. In your mind.

You think about it all the time. At home, with friends or family… You can’t stop thinking about how “bad you are”.

About what happens when the world figures it out.

Maybe your boss decides to fire you.

Then you will face reality. An unforgiving job market who doesn’t care about how much you love to code. Or about your mortgage.

It only cares about whether you can solve the problem or not.

You are being asked tricky questions about things you never had to use at your job. Like polyfills, Internet Explorer bugs or hexagonal architecture.

That’s how the game ends.

With another smart developer getting the job you want.

The job you knew you are capable of doing.

The one that give you home office, a nice salary and a cool tech stack. The one you’ve been rejected for because they found “someone that’s a better fit”.

The best part about becoming a Senior Developer is not the title, the money or the respect you get from your team.

It is knowing that you've got it figured out.

That there is no weight to carry.

Knowing that you can handle everything your company throws at you. If the worst happen, and they send you to the streets… You can get a new job in no time.

Without burning through your savings or refinancing your mortgage.

Or coding non-stop 24/7.

The most precious thing Senior Devs can afford that Junior can’t is not the latest MacBook Pro Max… It is peace of mind.

Knowing what you know, and knowing what you don’t.

The worst part?

Most Junior developers out there are not frauds.

They are hardworking and passionate. They try to do their best. Even when odds are against them.

Yet, they still struggle.

Because most don’t have any guidance. Or a clear plan.

They don't have someone to see their potential and guide them to the next level.

Senior Devs in their teams are always too busy.

Managers don’t understand the technical side.

So, what can you do?

That’s the million-dollar question.

After helping over 350+ JavaScript devs level up - to Senior and Beyond… I think Bogdan and I found the answer.

Here’s a formula for it:

(Strong Fundamentals + End-to-end Delivery Skills) X (Technical Interviewing Skills) X (Senior Dev Mindset) = Senior Developer Level

Easy to say, hard to do.

Each and one of those pillars has its own complexity and path.

I will dive into each and one of them in my next emails. Until then, you can check out our YouTube channel, where Bogdan and I share proven strategies on how to get to that Senior Dev level.

By the way, all the spots for the Senior Dev mentorship are taken — my calendar is packed.

Good news is, you can still apply to get on the waitlist.

Bogdan or I will reach out as soon as a spot opens up.
