What’s the most read article on our blog?
It’s not a “Senior roadmap”.
Not one about the “fundamentals”.
Our most read article in the last 12 months is about developer burnout.
It shouldn’t surprise you!
Developers these days are under extreme pressure.
The job market is insane.
You don’t only compete with other devs. Now you compete with “AI agents” claiming to take your job.
Even if you have a stable job…
The daily chaos you have to deal with as a dev can drive you nuts very fast (technical debt, never ending projects, management only pushing for more, etc).
If you are burnt out, this is the best advice I can give you:
Take a break before you need it.
Get away for the weekend.
Or a whole week.
Do it before you feel irritated, anxious or angry. With I did this back in my Junior days instead of numbing my self with fast-food and video games (which only got me fat instead).
So, you took a break?
Here’s my second piece of advice:
Don’t try to control the chaos in the world. Surrender to it.
I was very unhappy as a young programmer.
Because I was trying to control everything… I treated life like some piece of code you write and change later, but…
You can’t refactor life.
You can only adapt to it.
So, screw it.
Do the best you can do today… And figure out tomorrow, tomorrow :)

Ohh, a little update…
Bogdan is working on SE Mastery 2026, including a full module about AI coding.
It covers all the stuff you need to know about generative AI and LLMs as a JavaScript Engineer (including MCP, RAG, etc).
This is because we are seeing more and more “AI Engineer” positions -- which are actually a full-stack Engineer with AI knowledge.
Our students will get full access to it
But I am convincing Bogdan to also build a YouTube series around it.
