“I was handed a huge vibe-code project, and they asked me how to fix it.”

This question keeps popping up in our live calls.

Makes me wonder… Is this the future of software engineering?

All while most of the tech industry is busy trying to get AI to write even more code. Just burn more tokens “bro”, we’ll fix it later.

I believe the skill of “fixing it” will become the highest paid and most sought-after skill a software engineer can learn.

The skill of skills.

You won’t be able to “fix it” if your fundamentals are weak. Or if you been never trained in clean code principles. Or if you only understand the frontend.

We can help you get better at all those things, and much more.

Software is indeed changing.

The easy part, the coding is mostly done by LLMs.

The hard part, code review, testing, verification, and orchestration which has to be done by human engineers, is just getting bigger.

Even if the AI bubble pops, LLMs and AI coding will stay with us.

Vibe-coded monoliths that have to be refactored will stay with us. Infinite PRs with thousands of lines of indecipherable code will stay with us.

The only thing you can do is to get better.

So when the time comes, you can also say…

 “Sure, I’ll fix it”.

Until the next one,

Dragos
